Burnout Paradise

With a huge map and spectacular graphics and gameplay Burnout paradise is the best racing game without any doubts. The game revolves around paradise city which is divided into

1. Silverlake

2. Downtown paradise

3. Harbour town

4. White mountain

5. Palm bay heights

I played the game and finished it in ps3 so i donno how the pc version turned out to be. This game makes you play it until you desperately need to get the elite license and after that there is no fun except for some mics challenges. Apart from the racing there are certain tasks or challenges that you can perform like collecting smashes(400) , billboards(120) and completing the super jumps(50). Finding those things can be sometimes interesting or it can be irritating. I have done all the super jumps and collected billboards and smashes except for 1. I have wandered all over the paradise city looking for that final smash. After completing that you can get carbon versions of Hawker . There are 3 types of cars

Speed Boost- Driving the car at high speeds through oncoming traffic and/or weaving through traffic (performing a "Near Miss" where the car avoids another by a few inches or less) builds up the boost bar for this class. This is the only type of boost in which the boost is not available until the meter is completely filled. When it is filled, the boost bar becomes inflamed and the player may use it until they crash, let off of the boost, or run out of boost power. However, the depletion of boost power on a Speed Boost can cause a "Burnout" if the player keeps the boost button pressed after their boost bar is depleted, after which the bar refills allowing the player to continue using their boost. As long as the boost is continued to be used and the car is continuing to be driven, the player can create a "Burnout Chain" for as long as the player is able. This is the only standard that allows a Burnout chain.

stunt: The player can only accumulate boost with this class by performing stunts with the car (driving through oncoming traffic counts). However, as long as there is boost power stored, the player is able to use it. The Stunt boost is the longest boost bar initially

Aggression Boost: The player fills up the boost bar of this class of vehicles by reckless driving, such as performing traffic checks and/or takedowns, knocking over signs, performing stunts, and driving through oncoming traffic. Initially, the boost bar of these cars shows a "x2" at the end of the bar. If a player performs a takedown, the bar can be extended until the player switches cars (the only boost standard that has this ability), thereby showing a "x3" at the end of the bar instead. When an aggression car crashes, the bar shrinks in size and can go as small as "x1". Like the Stunt standard, boost can be used immediately, regardless of if the player has the bar completely filled.

Event types
Races, Marked Man events and Burning Routes can start in any location around Paradise City, but the destination is always one of eight: the Maplemount Country Club, the Coastguard HQ, the Waterfront Plaza, The Wildcats Baseball Stadium, the Fort Lawrence Naval Yard, the Lone Stallion Ranch, The Wind Farm and the Crystal Summit Observatory. Road Rages and Stunt Runs have no set end destination.
Race: Races consist of the player and at least one other car (races with just one opponent are known as 'Duels'). The player is given a location to race to. The player can take any route through the city to the location, with the aid of a flashing road names at the top of the screen when the player is advised to turn. The first to arrive at the destination wins; there are no points or prizes awarded for placing second or third, unlike most racing games. Online races can also include checkpoints that need to be crossed before reaching the finish.

Road Rage: The player is given a target number of takedowns and a time limit. A Road Rage event is won by meeting or exceeding this target in the given time limit. A variant of this event was made available for online play in the "Cagney" update.

Marked Man: In this event, the player is given a destination. At least one opponent is trying to stop the player from reaching the destination by scoring takedowns against them. The player must survive from start to finish in order to win (the player can be part of collisions, but loses the event if he totals the car). A variant designed for online gameplay was included in the "Cagney" update.

Stunt Run: Players are given a target score. They must earn points towards that score by using boosts, jumps, drifts and other such stunt moves. An online version of this event type was added to the game as part of the "Cagney" update.
Burning Route: Each Burning Route requires the player to use a specific car. Once the player is driving the required car, they race against the clock to a specified location. When a Burning Route is won the player wins an upgraded version of the vehicle they completed it with. The upgraded vehicle can boast extra boost power, more base speed or a stronger body (but usually in exchange for another category being made weaker). This event is unique in that it does not reset when the player earns a new license, because it's tied to the car used to run it rather than the license level the player is presently at.
After the "Burnout Bikes Update" (formerly called "Davis"), two new events were added that are exclusive to the motorcycles:
Burning Ride: Same as a Burning Route but for the motorcycles. However, some of these are now timed checkpoint events wherein the rider must ride through a set number of checkpoints before the time limit expires. These checkpoint events also do not have to end at one of the predetermined endpoints in Paradise City (they can terminate at intersections).
Midnight Ride: Same as a Burning Ride but takes place between the in-game hours of 8PM and 8AM.

The game gets better and better with the launch of its first biker pack and the highly awaited 'island pack' (wish it will be free to download). The real fun is in the multiplayer part. There are about 495 co-op challenges to complete while playing with others. Eventhough i didnt complete all the challenges i assure you that it is nothing short of complete thrill. You can get to see all the places of paradise city. I have made alot of friends in paradise. The more the players you play with the more the fun.I usually ride in I-88 using the pcpd special which i love when i feel the need for speed . The pc version is out and hope you buy it and enjoy the game.

My Rig

It time to update my monstrous rig which i call it as ' morbid machine'. I bought the components one by one and assembled it myself. It was a year back when i bought my core components namely my motherboard(XFX 680i SLI LT), XFX 8800GTS X 2 , CPU(core 2 duo E6750 2.66 GHz, RAM(crosshair 4 GB), G3 laser mouse and G15 gaming keyboard(i broke the lcd and it looks more like G11) and a monster power supply of 800watts coolermaster and a cpu cooler coolermaster hyper212 . I could render all the graphic intense softwares and play insanely resource hungry games(yea it can play crysis at high quality with 16X anti aliasing). The cabinet that i had was not so big and i had a tough time arranging the power cords of that supply which mostly of no use.

Yes it looks ugly. After a while there were some issues with my motherboard so i had to change it. I bought MSI P7N platinum ,coolermaster HAF 932 and HABU from sparsh who lives in delhi. He imports all kinds of high end components. Then i assembled it again, The tower was just big enough to fit my power supply and all its cords well tucked. I really admire the beauty of HAF. Installation of components were never so easy with tool less drive bays and expansion slots. It has 2 massive fans of 230 mm at the side and the top and with 140 mm fans at the front and the back with a red led.

After doing some proper cable management...voila. I was testing the mobo with stock heatsink.

The mobo has 3 pci slots but cant run all the 3 GPUs in SLI mode but 2 in SLI and the other can be dedicated to physix or some encoding videos.

 

This rightly claims the name 'morbid machine'. The outer case is pitch black. Wish the interior was also painted black. The Habu is nice but it has some issues with configuring the mouse. Windows xp doesn't even recognise the mouse but you can still able to use it if you reconnect it every time you boot into xp or any other os except vista. But i would say vista sucks. I know there are a lot of supporters say that you should know how to configure it properly to take its full advantage. As a matter of fact i did many configuring and still it was impossible to play many games with decent frames per second while in xp i get an extreme increase in fps. Yes i dual boot xp with Ubuntu linux. Im waiting to install sabayon linux.

Call of Duty 4

Call of duty 4 is one of the best mmofps that i have ever played. The graphics and the game play is amazing. Even though the single player campaign was short, the multiplayer makes up for it.
I really enjoyed playing the multiplayer. I didnt buy an original cd just torrented it and used garena(virtual lan) for connecting. Most of the time i will be in the malaysian server room since there is no indian server room. I wish there were many people in India plays it. But this game is quite resource hungry. There was no problem with my machine to play it. When i went to chennai during december 2008 . I, Jackye, Eagles, Archer, Patrick went to BLUR and played cod4 there. Those machines were loaded with armor cabinet , deathadder mouse, high end gpu. The monitors there were huge and we owned everyone there.

It was a great fun playing there. Nowadays those chennai people don't come to play cod4 coz they are busy playing Knights online which i consider as a noob game. When warrock's stupid hackshield falsely accused of detecting hacks banned my morbidgod id. Eventhough i got it back i lost interest in playing that game. But just want to chat with my fellow clan mates. In cod4 there is clan called [IND] which is an Indian clan. I was deeply admired that someone has created a national clan.

The game allows you to level up as you gain experience and unlock perks and guns. There are many challenges which are interesting to complete. I love sniping in that game but cant snipe in close quarters like i do in warrock with psg. The sniper gun that i love shooting with is R700 and barrett. Mostly i play hardcore gamers( no hud no cross) with m14 carbine or p90. It is ranked 2nd in xfire for the most no of hours played per day which is around 13,501,821 minutes per day. There are alot of great players in asia. I wish more Indians played it using garena. The patches can be downloaded in http://dead-x-clan.com/cod4-patches/. One of my nice scores

MorbidGod

Hailed as one of the best snipers in the Indian server is morbidgod(of course its me). I first stumbled upon this game about 2 years ago through downloads.com. Before then i have never played any mmofps. As it was a F2P(Free to Play) i downloaded it. I don't remember my first id. Back then there was no Indian server so we could play on the turkey server. I was a n0Ob back, pretty sure i had a sucky comp. I didn't show that much interest. The server was practically flooded with players and had a lot of hackers. I got frustrated as i couldn't kill anyone even emptying a whole mag and everyone seemed to kill me in a flash. I said to myself "you suck and why do you play this game?". So then i quit and never bothered to play again.
Later i bought a new machine which can shred anything into pieces. I donno why but i suddenly thought of playing that game. So i re downloaded it and installed it. LOL it had to update for several patches which too a long time. But with the patience of a monk i patiently waited. Then entering the game it asked for user name and pass which i have completely forgotten. Then i created the morbidgod id(on January 2008). I then started kicking ass. I could play only in the Indian server and there were only a few clans like PLI(Prima Legion Indianus),ahf(azad hind fauz),nbw(natural born winners),god(gods of death). The first player that made me a fan was jackye who happened to be the leader of PLI. When i was at level 8, i asked him if i could join the clan. He asked me to fight against catastroy. It was a 1-1 sniping match and yes she won. But jack took me in the clan anyways. I didnt know anything besides gaming like clan stuff and i didn't even know how to pm. Back then PSG was a f2p gun and bought it. It was an awesome gun. It was pure ownage.

It was during my 12th board exams. I was totally addicted to it. I woke up at 5 in the morning to read chemistry but i logged into warrock and played it. And i scored 96% which is a great feat. Then i got gold premium through my neighbour who gave me his cc to buy it. I bought m249 coupled with famas which was a total carnage. Then i bought famas retail which i regret now. I bought m134 for a week to test how it was. I didnt know how to use that gun at that time. Then after sometime with a fierce determination to master that weapon i played with it no matter what. The secret key is the tapping and my high sensitive mouse which can counter balance the huge recoil that gun imposes. Then it was uber carnage. No one was willing to face my m134 and asked me not to use that gun. I like sniping in UO and BG forcing death from above!! I made so many friends and fans in warrock. But i always hated those GMs in that game...Lithium and a new guy stavros...Kiara was a bit nice...There was a retard called oracle. There are alot of bugs in that game which many players abuse to get an unfair advantage(no game is perfect). There were a few high leveled players who i know hacked and never get banned. There are some guys who lag like shit and abuse others when they get killed. 1 such guy was shanky whom i hated the most. The biggest intentional lagger is TD who doesn't accept that he is lagging and wants to prove that he is the king of warrock. It is a total disgrace. But jackye, shree, patricking, archer,eagles,boyondope, wingdagger and me were in chennai in eagle's house and enjoyed a lot by playing warrock there all night long with 4 comps in 1 house. Patricking was the most hilarious guy... I laughed the shit out of me with his jokes and it was a great fun.



It was addictive in the beginning and now i have realized that buying prem and wasting 700 rs per month is a waste of money and considered not to play for some time.....my clan link
